| Description | The 6-hour course covers dealing with incidents, calling for help, treatment of the unconscious casualty, CPR techniques, dealing with bleeding, contents of a first aid kit and medical emergencies. Course covers the minimum emergency First Aid requirements as set out by the HSE for the new legislation changes to be implemented in October 2009. An Appointed Person for the workplace in first aid legislation terms is someone who is responsible for keeping the first aid kit stocked, and for ensuring that an ambulance is called if needed in an emergency situation.
It will leave candidates confident in dealing with an emergency situation whilst awaiting the ambulance and give a basic understanding of the impact of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 upon the workplace. |
