This training was far and away the best I have ever been on for first aid and I have been on many as a school pupil/swimming teacher/ lifeguard/ teacher. It was very engaging, real, affecting and did a brilliant job of combining lots of detail and information explaining bodily functions, scenarios and the "whys" of what we are doing etc while also paring things down to simple basics meaning I feel far more clear in my role as a first aider. The training covered so much; it related to my professional life of course but also very much to my personal life and brought into sharp focus everyone's potential fragility and the need for everyone to have these skills. A very powerful course that I would get both my very active sons to do if they lived locally! Thank you. I have lots to take back to school and to my family and friends.

This was my second 16-hour Outdoor FA course with Lakes First Aid. Although I have to travel quite a distance to attend training with them it is entirely worth the extra time and expense to receive top class training and I would not even think of going elsewhere now. The course is very practical, focuses on the real priorities for a First Aider and includes lots of hands-on practice scenarios which builds confidence in using the step approach to casualty injury/illness diagnosis. I will be returning to Lakes First Aid when I need to do refresher training again in 3-years time.

I liked the pre eLearning work. it built a foundation for practical work. I also liked the way the trainer explained how the body works in given scenarios which provided context for understanding the response required. The course was really well delivered. Focussed but kept light enough to be absorbed. There was a lot to get through and it was very well paced. A very very worthwhile 2 days.
