In the past i always felt that the course often got took over with that 1 person who was there to learn but though they had more experience than the tutor.

There was a huge amount of content covered, and it was great to apply what was learned in outdoor scenarios working in pairs of a group of 3.
It would be great if there was more opportunity to do some more scenarios, maybe in larger groups and more simulation of a day out walking (carrying kit to make use of, personal first aid kits etc). Another half day or full day for this extra would have been valuable in my opinion, and something worth paying for (even if it still provided the same level of qualification.
The booking process for the course was simple and easy. The correspondence before and after was timely and useful. It was also nice to have tea/coffee and biscuits provided! Thanks a lot! Ben

Lakes First Aid Definitely the best first-aid course I've attended. It was clear, well structured and well delivered, covering all the crucial aspects of emergency first-aid. The step-by-step protocols and handy acronyms were really helpful and these were reinforced by the simulated scenarios, which challenged us to apply the skills we had learned in a more realistic and variable environment. There were also lots of really useful insights, 'myth-busters' and other tips specific to the outdoor setting. Ross was upbeat and approachable, extremely knowledgeable and great at responding to questions. While I hope never to have to use the things we learned, the course left me feeling far more confident. Lakes First Aid I have been doing first aid training for over 23 years annually and also have completed three previous REC courses, this was by far the most impressive and progressive approach I’ve experienced. First aid can be a lot of this and that... however this was simple, straight and manageable.
I really enjoyed it, the trainer was knowledgeable and approachable.... I’ve already recommended it to my pal within 2 hours of driving away.

Lakes First Aid This is a great course to get you thinking about scenarios. The content is kept simple - in a good way - easier to remember when the real thing happens. Luke was knowledgable, happy to discuss queries but also kept things moving.
