Lakes First Aid Ross delivered the course fully, enthusiastically, and in great detail, with humour and knowledge to a diverse group who had a wide range of experience. As a retired teacher it was a joy to take part in. I feel significantly better prepared than I was before the course. Thank you!

Lakes First Aid I thoroughly enjoyed the course. I was apprehensive about the practical content of the course but Ross was so engaging and reassuring that my fears were unfounded and I learned so much that I feel I could now make a positive contribution if someone needed first aid.

Active First Aid Training Limited Fantastic to have someone with such a wealth of experience delivering. This is the best first aid course I have been on ( and I am well into double figures for first aid training courses! )
Testimonial from Sharron Hutchinson, Cycle coach, Kendal cycle club 01/06/2025 — 'Emergency First Aid at Work' course by
Active First Aid Training Limited I found the 'acting' out - especially the realistic/scary noises made - to be very helpful and something that is more likely to stay with me than just being told about symptoms.

Active First Aid Training Limited Thank you David, what we liked was the relaxed teaching style and the 'tell it as it is' approach. Your paramedic experience helped we felt in the right zone.

Testimonial from Ruth Nelson 14/05/2025 — 'Emergency First Aid at Work' course by
Lakes First Aid I've worked in the NHS since 1991 and attended multiple First Aid courses. This one beat all of them hands down. The trainer ( Ross) clearly knew his stuff, and explained everything really well. I learned more on this course in one day than I did in my entire time in the NHS. It was interactive with so much opportunity to learn and practice with great training resources. I really enjoyed the day.Thankyou
Testimonial from Geraldine Ash 13/05/2025 — 'Emergency First Aid at Work' course by
Cambridgeshire County Council So often a First aid course can feel like going through the motions. As a teacher I deal with bumps and scrapes every day but I also take the responsibility of going on trips and residentials where anything can happen. Having a good knowledge of the equipment to carry to help prepare for any eventuality and the first aid knowledge to back it up is invaluable. This course is both practical and informative. An excellent choice for those who don't always work in conventional spaces.
Testimonial from Rebecca Hales, Headteacher, The Duke of Bedford Primary School 08/05/2025 — 'Emergency First Aid at Work' course by
Lakes First Aid It was reassuring to ve able to ask questions that had been concerning ne. The trainer answered clearly and was supportive. I feel more reassured and confident not only about skills but about the role/ responsibility and liability etc He ensured that all tasks were clear and had been carefully demonstrated. He offered advice and encouragement during practical tasks and ensured the whole day was conducive to learning. He managed a group with very differing needs and experience so that a felt included, more knowledgeable and confident by the end of the day. Humour was used appropriately but advice and crucial information and guidance was delivered with authority and care.
